I saw her for several years as an adolescent. She promptly gave me and my family an accurate diagnosis and formulated a treatment plan based on that diagnosis. Her continued support and guidance during that time in my life is unmeasurable.  By Cause F. Concern from You a quack, MN Posted Apr 26, 2010 Dr. Buoen, or "Vicki" as she's known by her patients at North Suburban counseling center, has continued to enable a vulnerable young adult male with a known history of drug abuse. Dr. Buoen repeatedly ignored telephone calls from his concerned family informing her of her patient's potentially fatal abuse of Rx medications. Over time, the severe abuse of Dr. "Vicki's" prescriptions concluded with multiple visits to the hospital, followed by county jail, an expensive lawyer, and a broken but forgiving family. Unfortunatly, Dr. Buoen's patient has recently returned to North Suburban after his court ordered drug testing was discontinued. "Vicki" has carelessly misdiagnosed her patient with common mental conditions and continues to treat these conditions with very powerful addictive medication. Due to Dr. Buoen's lack of consideration for her young vulnerable patient, it has come to my attention that there are likely many more patients of her careless psychiatry practice. I feel that Dr. B's enabling has caused prolonged and painful suffering among her patients and their families.
